Melvin R. Sparks

Melvin R. Sparks, 90, of Tuscumbia, AL, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Visitation will be Monday, March 25, 2024 from 10 a.m-12 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with a service to follow in the chapel at 12 p.m. Bro. Steve McAlister will be officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

He was a member of Grace Life Church and was a Mason.

He was preceded in death by his Parents; William Russell Sparks and Nettie Gertrude Kent Sparks, brothers, Lloyd, David, Hillard, and J.W.; sisters, Marjorie Faye Terry, Christine Streit, Donna Jean Gargis, and Delois Sparks.

He is survived by his wife, Emma Jean Pilgrim Sparks; son, Anthony Sparks (Sha); daughter, Angela Underwood; brother, Cecil Sparks (Diane); sister, Peggy Robinson (Richard); grandchildren, Jason Underwood (Sabrina), Jami Underwood Terry (Jeffery), Justin Sparks (Melissa), Jordan Sparks (Mary Jordan); great grandchildren, Will and Anna Underwood, Braelyn and Averi Terry, Mason, Mia, Elvie, Finn, and Lily Sparks.

Pallbearers will be Jason Underwood, Will Underwood, Jeffery Terry, Braelyn Terry, Justin Sparks, and Jordan Sparks.
