Betty Irene Cabaniss, 87, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Visitation will be Friday, June 2, 2017 from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel.Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Bill Newman will be officiating. She was a member of Grace Life Church of the Shoals. She loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed time spent with her Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Cabaniss, Sr.; daughter, Tina Louise Cabaniss; father, Virgil E. Grigsby; mother, Leona Rhodes Gann and step-father, Rufus O. Gann and sister, John Ella Cowan.
Survivors are her son, Howard Cabaniss Jr. (Anna); grandson, Chad Cabaniss (Khristina); granddaughter, Amanda Cabaniss; great Grandson, Cole Cabaniss; sisters in law, Barbara Stratton ( Stan) and JoAnn Cabaniss; nieces: Patsy Yarbrough and Mary Hill van der Laan (Robert) and many precious nieces and nephews by marriage.
Pallbearers will be Tim Hardy, Steve Hargrove, David Cabaniss, Bob Berry, Marty Moore, and Winston Nash.
The family gives a special thanks to Winston and Carolyn Nash for their loving care.
