Homer Terral Wilson, Feb, 1947 - Feb, 2017. Preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Jackson Wilson, and Annie May Hill. Survived by daughter, Twanya (Darryl) Williford; grandchildren, Ashley Williford, Dustin (Andrea) Williford, Cassidy Williford; sisters, Betty (Lyle) Tabolt, Angie (Stanley) Crow, brother, Aaron (Penny) Wilson; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles.

Dad passed away quietly in February two days after his 70th birthday.  During the time Hospice of the Shoals served him, Dad accepted Christ. While we miss him constantly, in addition to others we've lost, we wouldn't wish him back to the pain & suffering he endured for years due to back injuries, failed surgeries, declining health & finally cancer. Knowing he is with the Lord is cause to celebrate.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Aug 12, 2017 at Colbert Memorial, 700 Hwy 43 S, Tuscumbia, 35674.  In lieu of any flowers, please make a donation to The Hospice of the Shoals, or to the NW Al Cancer Center.

I'd love to collect some photos, stories or shared experiences any of you may have had with dad (good or bad - I won't share your secrets, I promise!). Just the funny / good memories I would like to consolidate into a memory book. Please be specific when sending me info as possible: do the back story, as well as when, where, what, who, and how old you both were at the time of the incident, or maybe the year or something. I don't have many pictures of him, especially from him as a child or young adult. Very few of either parent really.  I'd appreciate it if any of you could send those stories or copies of pictures  to me. Private message me if you need my address.

Special thanks & appreciation for all the relatives who were able to come see him throughout his diagnosis as well as those who got to come during his last month. He enjoyed it so very much. I will never forget the time taken out of your lives to share some memories, spend some time, & make that effort to get here & help where needed.

Thanks also to Hospice of the Shoals staff, nurses, bath aids, and minister who became friends to us all during the time served. Also thanks to the North Al Cancer  Center, Keller Imaging, & even the UPS, FedEx, & USPS mail carrier who asked about dad every time after he was no longer able to intercept their long walk to the house with packages by getting it for us at his door. I thank Colbert Memorial and staff for their invaluable patience & care with sorting through the necessary steps following his passing & with ongoing followup.
