John D. Hester, 77, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away Friday, November 18, 2016. Visitation will be Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow in chapel at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Ben Hayes and Gilbert Behel will be officiating. He was a member of Highland Park Church of Christ, member of Local IBEW 558, and retired from Reynolds Metals after 25 years of loyal service.
Preceded in death by parents, Olin and Thelma Hester; brother, David Hester; sister, Emma Jean Behel; brother, Billy Ray Hester, Infant brother, and special In- Laws R.C. and Vera Brown.
Mr. Hester is survived by his wife of 55 wonderful years, Mary Hester; daughters, Sonya Wells (Neil) and Beth Loften (Eddie); grandchildren, Cassie Miller (Mike), Lauren Wells (Tyson Pickard), Hanna Loften, Sarah-Kate Loften; great grandchild, Mae Miller; host of loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Mike Moore, Ricky Ogletree, Tim Keenum, Mike Miller, Tyson Pickard, and Ronald McNatt.
