Leon Sockwell, age 73, of Leighton, AL passed away Saturday, February 06, 2016.visitation will be Sunday, February 07, 2016 from 4-6 pm. Funeral service will be Monday, February 08, 2016 at 10 am. at Cox Blvd. Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery. Glenn Redmond and Larry Kilpatrick will be officiating.
Mr. Sockwell was preceded in death by his parents Roy H. Sockwell and Etoile Sockwell.
Survivors are his wife Maxine R. Sockwell, sons: Tommy Sockwell Tuscumbia, Al, Roy David Sockwell (Jolynn) Sandy Springs, Ga., sister; Doris Crosswhite (Frank) grandchildren: Drew, Caroline, Finley and Theora Sockwell.
Pallbearers are Bobby Fisher, Frank Crosswhite, Ron Stowe, Charles Lowery, Kenneth Copeland and Drew Sockwell.
He was a member of Cox Blvd. Church of Christ.
