Luther Davis Jr.

Luther Davis Jr., age 80, of Muscle Shoals, AL., passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016. Visitation will be Monday, February 01, 2016 from 1-3 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in our chapel, Monday, February 01, 2016, with burial to follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Bro. Ben Hayes and Bro. Michael Jackson.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his son; Gary Evan Davis and son-in-law Troy Johnson.

Survivors are his wife of 58 wonderful years Betty Davis: sons: Matthew Van Davis (Angie) of Brentwood, TN, Joey Dale Davis (Elisha) of Muscle Shoals, AL. daughter: Lecia Davis Johnson of Muscle Shoals, AL., grandchildren Madilyn, Logan, Carter and Max, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers and dear friends are Wilburn Credille, Hillard Murray, Leon Davis and Reese Harrison.

Mr. Davis was a veteran and retired from Ford Motor Co. and General Motors. He was a member of Highland Park Church of Christ; past member of National Guards; former President of Webster PTO; former President of the Muscle Shoals Lions; and a private  airplane pilot since 1977.
