Maudine Elizabeth (Bass) Smith

Maudine Bass Smith, 90, of Muscle Shoals, AL. passed away Monday, January 29, 2018. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 1-2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Shane Swinney will be officiating. Burial will be in Sheffield Oakwood. She was a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church. She retired as Principal of Avalon Middle School after 30 plus years of loyal service as an educator.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie L. Smith; parents, Harvey and Victoria Bass; grandson, Jake Smith; son-in-law, Robert Howell.

She is survived by her son, Steve (Loudee) Smith and daughter, Vicki Howell; grandchildren, Drew Howell, Les (Ashley) Howell, Forrest Smith, Nick (Ashley)  Howell, Jeb Smith, and Somer Smith; six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
