Lora “Nell” Tolbert, 85, of Leighton, AL passed away Monday, July 18, 2016. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow at 1:00 p.m in the chapel. Brother Greg Beasley will be officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and retired school bus driver for Colbert County after 32 years of loyal service.
Preceded in death by parents, Edward and Ada Posey; son, Glenn David Tolbert; daughter, Janice Irene Hearn, and six siblings.
Survivors are husband of 68 wonderful years, David Tolbert; daughter, Linda Counts (Ray); brother, Rufus Benford Posey (Mary Lou); sister, Claudia Sue Mealer; five grandchildren; host of loving great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and other loving family members.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Counts, Rodney Tolbert, Darrin Berry, Gary Dill, Brandon Berry, and Cody Berry. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug McDonald, Gary Ledlow, and Joseph Thomas.
