Rebecca (Jenkins) Cummings

Rebecca Cummings, 73 of Muscle Shoals, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017. Her family will receive friends for visitation Monday, October 16, 2017 at Colbert Memorial Chapel from 5-7 p.m. The funeral will begin Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Sunil Jessy and Brother Tommy James officiating the service. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Cummings regularly attended both Hope Church and Florence First Assembly of God. She loved cooking, gardening, and floral arranging.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Cummings I; parents, Cecil and Gladys Jenkins; brothers, Cecil and John Jenkins; and sister, Peggy Atwell.

Mrs. Cummings is survived by her sons, Claude and Grant Shook, Tommy (Stacey), and Stephen Cummings; daughter, Cara Hutcherson (Gary); sister, Dorothy Scott; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

We give a special thanks to Dr. Karr, Dr. Costa, the doctors at Northwest Alabama Cancer Center, and especially to the nurses at the Cancer Center.
