Sidney Wade Moss, age 95, of Tuscumbia, AL., passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Visitation will be Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 12-2 PM at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow in the Chapel. Burial will be at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Thad Looser. Sidney was a veteran of The United States Army where he served during WWII. He retired from Reynolds after 32 loyal years of service.
Mr. Moss was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Mitchell Moss, daughter; Martha Hunter Christian, brother; J.C. Moss, sisters; Kathleen Mills, Ruby Smallwood, and Doris Barnes.
Survivors are son; Bill Moss (Nelda) of Phil Campbell, AL, grandchildren; Vicki Hunter Looser (Chuck) of Muscle Shoals, AL, Dr. Steven Wade Hunter (Fran) of Raleigh, N.C., Bart Moss (Amy) of Russellville, AL, Wendy Rushing (Kyle) of Haleyville, and Theresa Garrard (Jon) of Muscle Shoals, AL; great grandchildren; Thad Looser (Betsy), and Rece Looser (Melanie), Stephanye Hunter (Regev Ben Jacob), Emma Hunter, Will Hunter, Mallory Rushing, Lilly Rae Rushing, Hayden Moss, Ragan Moss, Jackson Garrard, Luke Garrard; great great grandchildren; Will Looser, Mary Kate Looser, Nora Beth Looser, sister; June Gates, and a host of loving nieces, nephews and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Steven Hunter, Chuck Looser, Rece Looser, Bart Moss, Kyle Rushing, and Jon Garrard.
Memorials can be made to Children’s Ministry at Tuscumbia Church of Christ.
