Mrs. Willie Jean Gibbs “Granny Jean”, 79, of Sheffield, AL died Thursday, January 12, 2017. Visitation will be Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow at 1:00 p.m. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Sheffield.
She is preceded in death by father, James Reeves; mother, Lula LaFan; husband, John Gibbs; sons, David Anthony Gibbs, Donald Gibbs, and Johnny Gibbs; brothers, James Arnold Reeves and Paul Glenn Reeves; sisters, Betty Sue Hamm and Linda Faye Cantrell.
Survivors are daughters, Brenda Lee White (Carl) and Paula Gibbs; grandchildren, Chris Gibbs (Dana), Jamie White (Keri), Christy Gibbs, and Justin White; great grandchildren, Mattie, Preslee, Ava, Lily, and Jaleigh; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Chris Gibbs, Jamie White, Justin White, Johnny Cantrell, Dennis Cantrell, and Tony Hamm. Honorary are Billy Hamm and Glenn Hamm.
