Willie James Jackson, 78, passed away April 13, 2015 after a extended illness. He originally is from Gravely Springs. Services will be held at the Colbert Memorial Chapel, Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 9:00 AM for family and 10:00 AM for friends and service will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at 2:00 PM at Gravely Springs.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Wasie Jackson; sisters, Dorothy Richardson and Linda Glover; daughters, Vonda Monteleone, Sandra Dickey, Kim Muckey, Beverly Hudson, and Connie Hughes; son, Michael Jackson; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mary Jackson; brothers, Eugene and Edward Jackson; sister, Mary Hale.
He was a member of the Living Church of God for 43 years. His favorite bible verse is John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
