Tammy Sharp is a graduate of Vina High School. She attended and graduated from Jefferson State Mortuary College, where she successfully completed her International Board Certification in Mortuary Science.  Tammy is a dual licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.  She is also a skilled restorative artist.  Tammy and her children, reside in Tuscumbia, AL. Tammy's goal is to insure that every family is treated with the utmost dignity and respect for them and their loved ones.

Jonathan Anderson

Licensed Funeral Director

Jonathan Anderson is a lifelong resident of the Shoals area.  He graduated from Sheffield High School.  Jonathan studied music at Northwest Shoals College where he played lead Sax in the Jazz Band.  He is currently pursuing a fine arts degree at the University of North Alabama.  Jonathan has worked in the Funeral Service  Industry since 2005 and became a licensed Funeral Director in 2008.

Kim Jones

Funeral Director and Embalmer

Kim is a graduate of Florence Christian Academy and a 2008 graduate of John A. Gupton College, where she received her degree in Mortuary Science. Kim also holds a dual license as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. Kim resides in Lauderdale County with her husband First Sergeant Marty Jones. Kim has three children, Bailee, Reagan and John Mark. 

Kim has a heart of compassion for others and she finds satisfaction in caring for each family on a personal level. Kim has been in the Funeral Business since 2005. Colbert Memorial is very thankful that Kim is part of our staff. She is a blessing to us and to the families that she serves.

Ted Everett

Pre-Need Sales Advisor

Ted Everett has been in the funeral service industry serving families in various positions for over twenty years.  Ted started as a sales counselor in the Chattanooga, Tn area before being promoted to manage his first cemetery. He came to the Shoals area in 1998 as the district manager of several cemeteries and funeral homes.  Ted and his wife, Marsha, have made the Shoals their home ever since.  All three of their children; Joshua, Justin and Jana graduated from Muscle Shoals High School.  After pursuing other interest, Ted has brought his extensive experience and work ethic to Colbert Memorial Gardens.  Ted's many years of service in the funeral industry affords him the ability to offer families both guidance and advice, whether it be in  Pre-Need or At-Need situations. He does all this with the compassion and understanding that families will appreciate.

Ted Vafeas

Pre-Need Sales Consultant

Ted Vafeas is our newest addition to our licensed pre-need sales staff.  Ted has years of experience in helping people in grief situations.  Ted has been in the ministry for over 37 years.  He provides the same care and concern when explaining the benefits of pre-arrangements as he has done in his ministries over the years.  His wife, Judy is employed at Russellville Elementary and is a graduate of UNA. Ted is also a graduate of UNA. He has one daughter that is a Teacher and one son that is a Banker.  Ted specializes in coming to you and sharing the benefits of pre arrangements in the comfort of your home.  He is convinced that pre-arrangement is a “valuable gift” to surviving family members and can relieve a great financial burden from the family.

Kane Gross

Kane Gross

Funeral Home Assistant

Kane Gross has been employed at Colbert Memorial Chapel for over 12 years.  Kane assists the Funeral Directors with Visitations, Funeral Services and Transporting. He is also responsible for seeing that our grounds are kept in a clean and neat condition.  Kane was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He currently lives in Sheffield, Alabama with his wife Tanya Johnson-Gross. Tanya also works in our business office for both Colbert Memorial Chapel & Greenview Memorial Chapel. Kane graduated from Conestoga Valley High School in Lancaster, PA. He then attended Brownstown Vocational Technical Institute. Kane and Tanya have 2 pets, Jake their dog and Buddy their cat.  Some of Kane's interest include being a die hard Pittsburgh Steeler's Fan, studying  Civil War History, working with Children's Ministries with his friend Allan Slusher and traveling to Pennsylvania to see his Family and Friends.

Cremationist

Len Oliver has been with the company for many years.  He has had various duties over the years.  He has been instrumental in our company's success. For the last 11 years Len has been in charge of our Cremation Services. At Colbert Memorial Chapel and Gardens we offer both Human and Pet Cremations.  Len handles all the Services associated with serving your family's Cremation needs.  Len is also responsible for coordinating the grounds crew's daily activities at Colbert Memorial Gardens as well at Colbert Memorial Pet Cemetery.

Linda Campbell

Linda Campbell

Continuing Care Grief Support Director

Linda coordinates our Continuing Care Grief Support Series as well as assisting with Visitations. She also serves part-time as a receptionist/secretary.


Ryan Kelsey

Funeral Assistant

Ryan is a student at Colbert County High School and is planning to pursue a career in Mortuary Science. He will begin his apprenticeship with Colbert Memorial Chapel as soon as he graduates high school and enters Mortuary Science schooling.

Ryan assists our Funeral Directors with visitations and funeral services.

Funeral and Visitation Assistants

Tom and Dean assist with Visitations as well as Services at Colbert Memorial Chapel. They have become a very important part of our family in the short time they have been working with us.
