Ricky is the second generation to help manage this family owned business.  He graduated from Muscle Shoals High school in 1980. He graduated from the University of North Alabama in 1984, where he studied Finance.  Mr. Cook was self employed for over 22 years. He has been employed at Colbert Memorial for the last 11 years.  Ricky has two son's, Devin Cook and Dillon Cook.  He is married to Tammy (White) Cook. Tammy graduated from Muscle Shoals High School and graduated from the University of Alabama Huntsville, with a degree in Accounting. Ricky and Tammy have been together for over 33 years.  It is Mr. Cook's goal to continue the quality of service that Colbert Memorial has provided to the community since 1958.

Kim Jones

Kim Jones

Managing Funeral Director, Embalmer, and Cremationist

Kim is a graduate of Florence Christian Academy and a 2008 graduate of John A. Gupton College, where she received her degree in Mortuary Science. Kim also holds a dual license as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. Kim resides in Lauderdale County with her husband  SGM Marty Jones. Kim has three children, Bailee, Reagan and John Mark. Kim is Colbert Memorial's managing funeral Director.

Kim has a heart of compassion for others and she finds satisfaction in caring for each family on a personal level. Kim has been in the Funeral Business since 2005. Colbert Memorial is very thankful that Kim is part of our staff. She is a blessing to us and to the families that she serves.

Jonathan Anderson

Jonathan Anderson

Licensed Funeral Director and Cremationist

Jonathan Anderson is a lifelong resident of the Shoals area.  He graduated from Sheffield High School.  Jonathan studied music at Northwest Shoals College where he played lead Sax in the Jazz Band. He has worked in the Funeral Service  Industry since 2005 and became a licensed Funeral Director in 2008.  Jonathan is happily married with three children.  Jonathan has been employed at Colbert Memorial for more than 9 years. He is a very valuable person to our organization. He is very kind, considerate and compassionate to all the families he serves.

Licensed Cremationist

Len Oliver has been with the company for many years.  He has had various duties over the years.  He has been instrumental in our company's success. For the last 13 years Len has been in charge of our Cremation Services. At Colbert Memorial Chapel, we offer both Human and Pet Cremations.  Len performs the Cremation Services associated with serving your family's Cremation needs.

Administrative Secretary

Melinda attended Lexington High School. She is married to Howard Fisher. She has two daughters, Maranda and Kaitlen; as well as three granddaughters, Ella, Kinzlee, and Kylie.

Melinda previously worked in the healthcare field for over 23 years as an office administrator.

Ted Everett

Pre-Need Sales Advisor

Ted Everett has been in the funeral service industry serving families in various positions for over twenty years.  Ted started as a sales counselor in the Chattanooga, Tn area before being promoted to manage his first cemetery. He came to the Shoals area in 1998 as the district manager of several cemeteries and funeral homes.  Ted and his wife, Marsha, have made the Shoals their home ever since.  All three of their children; Joshua, Justin and Jana graduated from Muscle Shoals High School.  After pursuing other interest, Ted has brought his extensive experience and work ethic to Colbert Memorial Gardens.  Ted's many years of service in the funeral industry affords him the ability to offer families both guidance and advice, whether it be in  Pre-Need or At-Need situations. He does all this with the compassion and understanding that families will appreciate.

Funeral and Visitation Assistants

Tom and Dean McCormack assist with Visitations as well as Services at Colbert Memorial Chapel. They have become a very important part of serving our community. We are very fortunate and happy to have them working with us at Colbert Memorial.

Mark Booker

Mark Booker

Funeral Home Maintenance and Funeral Home Grounds Supervisor / Funeral assistant

Mark is a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County. He is a 2009 graduate of Central High School.  Mark has worked within our company for over 10 years.  He brings with him 8 years of knowledge of working in the cemetery.  For the past two years he has worked as the supervisor of  maintenance at the funeral home.  He also assists on funerals as well as helping  families with their music plans.  He brings his hard work ethic and dedication to his job.  We are pleased to have Mark helping us serve our families.

Bob Hill

Bob Hill

Funeral Director Assistant

Bob is a resident of Lauderdale County. He is a graduate of Coffee High School and the University of North Alabama, where he graduated with a degree in marketing. Bob and his wife, Carol, had their own marketing and sales firm representing children's apparel companies, for over 30 years.  Bob's lifelong love of horses lead him to competitive riding. Both Bob and his horse are in the Extreme Cowboy Association's Hall of Fame. He continues to ride in competitions every year.  Bob is a member of the Lauderdale County Sherriff's Mounted Posse Search and Rescue Team. Bob and Carol attend the First Christian Church in Florence, AL. Colbert Memorial, as well as the Shoals community is grateful to have such a caring and compassionate person working with us.
