So sorry to learn of John Patterson's passing. I coached little league baseball in Spring Valley and remember what a joy John was, he truly loved all the boys. We formed the Colbert-Lawrence League in 1970 and affiliated with Dixie Youth in 1971. I was a teenager coaching Spring Valley and John was such a kind man, always respectful and never came across as intimidating or bossy. Such good memories of a good man.

Dora was a great soul who loved people. She will be missed by all her family and fiends. She was a wonderful aunt. I recall all the times I spent with her when I was a child. I will also remember all the love she gave me. I also will remember all the wonderful things she did for the people of the Mount Hester community and for my mother and dad. She was devoted to her church--the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Mount Hester. Ann and Andy and her grandchildren are in my prayers.

My mother passed away after a short illness and Colbert Memorial made a difficult situation a little easier to bear with their care and kindness. The staff was wonderful and accommodating, especially Ryan who gave us guidance and support. I know my mother would have felt so blessed how caring the staff was to have all her (and our) final wishes met. The grounds were also beautiful and well kept, this helps us to feel our loved one(s) are at peace.

We have a family commitment and will not make the furenal. Just wanted to say how sorry we are for your lost. We have lost a great wonderful lady way to soon. Heaven has gain a Angel like no other. I will always remember her as a wonderful person and top of the line Christian. We are praying for all the johnson family and for the road ahead. I've lost a son when he was 35 I know first hand the hurt and the why's. But God is in control and to question him is normal. I asked all the time why. I know one day we will all get our answers when we meet our father face to face.

My brother passed away unexpectedly October 21, 2017. My mother and I traveled to Alabama (a state we were unfamiliar with) with no idea how to handle the situation. I can't say enough great things about Colbert's and it's staff, especially Tammy. She was amazing in every aspect and guided us along the way with such compassion. I don't think we could have done this without her help and support. She made a very difficult time so much less painful with her kindness and she worked so hard to have everything in order in time for us to return back home. She made sure my brother was comfortable and peaceful in his resting place while he was there. If and when you find yourself dealing with the death of a loved one, this is a wonderful place. Thank you again.
