Charlotte Gilmer Sims, of Tuscumbia, AL passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017. Service will be Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Brother Rudy Guess will be officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. She was a charter member of First Methodist Church, Muscle Shoals. In 1974 Charlotte and David her son, established Sims Bark Co. Inc. She worked many long hours to make the business a success. She had a great relationship with her family being a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a mentor to all of her employees.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wesley Sims.
She is survived by her son, David Wesley Sims (Suzanne); daughters, Connie Sims Prince (David), Anna Sims McCullough (Craig), and Melissa Sims Hester (Doug); eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and her beloved cats Daniel and Baby.
Pallbearers will be Gary Devaney, Bennie Greenhill, Billy Hayes, Doug Nelson, Ben Rikard, and Mark Sanders.
