Clayborn Ray Howard, 82, of Sheffield, AL passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 2-3 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel, followed by a graveside service at 3:30 p.m. at Guy Cemetery. Clayborn was of the Church of Christ faith, an avid Alabama fan who loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with a Flair for fishing. He was not only a sawmiller he was the best and showed that with his passion for sawmilling.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hurbert and Lula Howard; brother, Otis Howard; sister, Virgie B. Clark.
Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Peggy Howard; sons, Anthony W. Howard and Donald R. Howard (Sherine), and Clayborn E. Howard; daughters, Shirley W. Scott (Marty) and Brenda K. Byrd (Ray); grandchildren, Kimberly Lindsey, Melissa Bullion (Mark), Wendy Posso (Jhon), Leslie Scott, and C.J. Howard; great grandchildren, Jonathan, Josh, Dalton, Joshua, Jacob, Bella, Xzavier Devonte, Colby, Lauren, Adam, Devin, and Addi-Grace.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
