Douglas Henry Gargis

Douglas Gargis, 74, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed way Monday, March 11, 2019. Visitation will be Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 9-11 a.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with the service to follow. Dr. Tom Whatley will officiate. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

He was an avid Alabama Football Fan. He loved to hunt and fish. He was known for his great work ethic and his skill in Excavating.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theo and Linda Meadows Gargis; daughter, Carol Gargis Parton; sisters, Judy Skerston, Mary Jo Uhlman, Mildred (Mittie) Isbell, and Shirley Copeland; brothers, Walter Gargis, Mack Gargis, Charles Gargis, and Tillman Gargis.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Gargis (Shanna), and Steven Gargis (Jennifer); grandchildren, Michael Gargis, Jr., Cody Gargis, Mika-Lyn Gargis, Chandler Eubank, Hannah Giuffre, Aaron Giuffre, and Codey Giuffre; brother-in-law, Hollis Isbell and sister-in-law, Pauline Gargis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
