James “Jim” Walter Cook, 60, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 12-2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow at 2 p.m. Dr. Robert Gamble will be officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Walter Lee Cook; Paternal grandparents, Monroe and Jenny Cook; Maternal, Charlie and Ollie Sisk.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Maria Cook; Mother, Evelyn Sisk Cook; Son, Alex Cook; Daughter, Kelley Woods (Justin); Grandchildren, Cohen Woods, Eli Woods, and Logan Woods Brothers, Mike Cook (Peggy), Charles “Pat” Cook (Cindy); Uncle, Tommy Sisk; Nephews, Michael, Lee, and Ross; Nieces, Stephanie Jones; Host of loving cousins and other family members and friends all to which will dearly miss Jim.
Pallbearers will be Mike Cook, Pat Cook, Alex Cook, Michael Cook, Hunter Cook, Ross Cook, Brent Sisk, and Tommy Sisk.
Jims love for music and sports was only outmatched by the love for his family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. His caring nature and selflessness impacted countless lives and he was a blessing to all that knew him. He is loved and will be missed dearly.
