Juliane (Bell) Kilgore

Juliane Bell Kilgore, 66, of Sugar Hill, GA died peacefully on March 6, 2018. She was born in Amarillo, Texas and spent her formative years in Indianapolis, Indiana and Sheffield, Alabama.

She is survived by her son, Jesse Russell Kilgore, of Orem, Utah and sister, Meri Janet Bell Taylor (Craig), of Sugar Hill, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Eugene Bell and Janet C. Bell.

Juliane graduated from Sheffield High School with honors, going on to receive her B.A. from Auburn University and M.A. from University of Georgia in Social Work. She retired after 25 years of service, both in the field and rehabilitation of adults with addictive disorders.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 1-2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel, Tuscumbia, Alabama with the service to follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Tom McCormack will officiate. A private committal service will be held in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

She loved her precious cats and in lieu of flowers, we ask that memorial contributions be made to the animal rescue organization of your choice.
