Lanny W. "Weenie" Smith

Lanny W. “Weenie” Smith, 65, of Tuscumbia, died Saturday, April 7, 2018 at his residence after an extend illness. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Colbert Memorial Chapel from 5-8P.M. The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 2P.M. in the chapel. Burial will be in Vandiver Hollow Cemetery. Officiating will be Brother Glen Stewart. Lanny was a member of Spring Valley Church of God and the Iron Worker Local 477. He was also a member of the Mason Lodge.

Lanny was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Dorothy Smith; and brothers, Phillip and Perry Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Kathie Smith, of Tuscumbia; daughters, Tabitha Dickens (Joe), Vickie Reid (David), Crystal Smith (J.R.); sister, Tanszy Smith Tippett (Mark); four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers are Austin Tippett, Jasper Dickens, David Reid, J.R. Roldan, Dan Coggins, and Mark Tippett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan Reid and Carson Tippett.

Special thanks to Compassus Hospice for their care of our dear loved one, especially Amanda and Taylor.
