Luda May, 81, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018. Visitation will be Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Brother J.D. Harrison will be officiating. Burial will be in Mt Zion on Hwy 157. She retired from Ford Motor Company. She was a member of Ford City Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Cheta Tolbert; husband, Tillman Clayton.
She is survived by her son, Ricky Clayton (Charlotte), Roger Clayton, and Randy Clayton; daughters, Sharron McGill (Tommy), Darlene Blankinship (Kim), and Susan Cochran (Todd); brothers, Dorris Tolbert and Bobby Tolbert; sisters, Marie Crowden, Peggy Jones, and Libby Evans; grandchildren, Dewayne, Kimberly, Daryl, Ashley, Sam, Ari-Beth, Cody, and Tyler; great grandchildren, Darby, Noah, Thomas, Olivia, Nyjah, Zaira Jay, Haley, Peyton, and Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Noah Tompkins, Thomas Clayton, Samuel Clayton, Daryl Clayton, Todd Cochran, and Tommy McGill. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Clayton, Dewayne Clayton, Kim Blankinship and Doug Tompkins.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Albert Lynn Ridgeway, the nurses and staff on 4th floor of Helen Keller Hospital and Diane and Michelle of Keller Hospice. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Ford City Baptist Church.
