Mrs. Defor taught my sister and me first grade at Brewster in Sheffield. During my college years, I lifeguarding and taught swimming lessons at the Sheffield pool. Many mornings she would come in to swim, and I would swim with her giving her some simple tips to her strokes. I loved this experience. My prayers are with her family, and I pray the comfort of memories and knowing the lasting impression she left so many of us will help.
