Opal Hargett, 95, of Tuscumbia passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017. Visitation will be Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 1-2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow at 2 p.m. Brother Tom Woods will be officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Hargett was a member of Park View Baptist Church. She was a greeter at Walmart for fifteen plus years. .
Mrs. Hargett is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Clydie Hogan; husband, Troy E. Hargett; son, James Tedford Hargett; grandson, Ted Hargett.
She is survived by her son, Ed Hargett; daughter, Shelia H. Michael (David O) and sister, Frances Olean Ferguson; grandchildren, Cindy Thorton (Greg), Sandy Adams (Jerry), Jimmy Hargett, Rex Michael, Marty Michael (Angela), Davy Michael (Beth); host of loving great nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Leroy Hogan, Paul Hogan, Peter Duncan, Rex Michael, Marty Michael, and Davy Michael.
