He grew up in the Rock Creek community but Hawk Pride Mountain was “home” since 1957.
Sam was an electrician and retired from TVA in 1985.
Most important was his Christian faith. As a member of the Tuscumbia Church of Christ for over 60 years, he served in many capacities to include teacher, deacon, and elder. He had a great passion for missionary work and visited many of the worldwide mission sites.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Zambia Mission Fund c/o Tuscumbia Church, 102 East Fourth St., Tuscumbia, AL. 35674.
