Shirley Annette (Watkins) Spencer

Shirley Annette Spencer, 71, of Muscle Shoals passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019. Visitation will be Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. The service will be Monday, June 3, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the chapel. A private burial will follow after the service in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Truman Sutton and Michael Spencer will be officiating. She was a member of Cowboy Church of Colbert County.

She loved crossword puzzles, cross- stitching, cooking, and family gatherings, etc. Her greatest love was her husband, her children, grandbabies, and her savior Jesus Christ. She never put herself ahead of anyone else. Her love and compassion were completely tireless. She graduated from Sheffield High School in 1966.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Watkins; mother, Ruby Watkins; brother, Ronnie Watkins; nephew, Blake Bevis; and brothers-in-law, Terry Spencer and Dick Hollister. Father in law, James F. Spencer and Mother in law Virginia Wright.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Spencer of 53 years; son, Michael Spencer and fiancé Wendy McMunn; daughter, Michelle Anglin (Scott); sister, Diane Bevis; brother, Danny Watkins (Paula); grandchildren, Austin Campbell (Somer), Micaela Campbell , Noah Campbell, Madison Campbell, Braden Spencer, and Ashleigh Spencer, and expected great- grandbaby Campbell; brother-in-law, Bill Hollister (Yoko); sisters-in-law, Cindy Ware and Vicki Spencer; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Austin Campbell, Noah Campbell, Braden Spencer, Daniel Watkins, David Bailey, and Kevin McWilliams. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Dalton and Scott Anglin.
