Velma Celeste (Lyons) Norris

Velma Norris, 89, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017. A memorial service will be Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:30 a.m.at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Velma was of the Baptist Faith. She was an avid gardener with a green thumb and a zest to grow fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Katie Lyons; brother, Johnny Lyons; daughter, Marcy Barker.

She is survived by her husband of 63 wonderful years, Bob Norris; daughters, Norma Ebener (Neal) and Linda Anderson (Bradley); eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and her three beloved bobtail cats, Callie, Shortie, and Tiny.
