My father's Navy career sounds very much like Doc's. "Whitey" was always talking about his Navy days and the old Naval Reserve Training Center. I heard him mention an "Underwood" and I figure it might have been Doc. These wonderful men served our country with hands over hearts, standing at attention, probably with tears in their eyes! God bless them as they now serve our Lord in Heaven!

Thank you Doc for loving our country the way you did & servicing so bravely in the Navy & Marines through out your life. I did not have the great honor of knowing you or your family but I am so moved by the ones who wrote your obituary that I wanted to let your loved ones know.
