Anthoney Dee "Tony" McAnalley

Anthony Dee “Tony” McAnalley, age 67, of Leighton, Alabama passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Colbert Memorial Chapel from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.  The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.  David Isbell will officiate. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Morris Mildee “Dee” McAnalley.

He is survived by his mother, Rebekah Orene McAnalley; daughter, Kelly Davis (Chris); Sister, Becky McAnalley; Grandchildren, Jacob Davis, Bryant Davis, and Gunner Davis; Nephews, Gregg Allen and Jonathon Allen (Ginger); niece, Stacie Blankenship (David); and many close friends and family.

Tony was a lifelong resident of Colbert County. He graduated from Deshler in 1974. Tony was a friend to all who knew him. He was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.

Tony was retired from the Colbert County DA’s office and was the owner of Shoals Development. Tony was the true definition of perseverance. He never let his disability get in his way. He was truly an inspiration to all who knew him.

Tony spent the last years of his life doing his favorite job, being a Big Papaw to his boys. Tony was a wonderful father, son, brother, papaw, and friend.

Pallbearers will be: Jacob Davis, Gregg Allen, Jonathon Allen, Jason Veal, David Blankenship, Tommy Rogers, Steve Gipson, and Vic Osborn. Honorary pallbearers will be: Keith Bullington, Robbie Martin, Ricky Veal, Stan Veal, Joe Keenum, Dalton Broussard, David Allen, and Steve Gates.
