Becky Ann (Thornton) Reid

Rebecca Thornton Reid of Muscle Shoals, AL was born to Bert and Vela Chandler Thornton. Becky lived her 101 years with a zest for life and love in her heart. A graveside memorial service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery Tuscumbia on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 1 p.m. Chaplin Rod Stansky will preside. She was of the Methodist Faith and loved golf, gardening, pretty clothes, and dancing.

Becky was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Harold Reid; sister Mary Pettus, and brother Robert Thornton.

She is survived by her sister, Betty Hauerwas Landrum and numerous nieces and nephews who cherished her.

Becky received a lot of love from caregivers at her home and Mitchell Hollingsworth and had special friendships with Ricky Cook, JoAnn Gargis, and Mary Woods.
