Obituary
Bobby Joe Childers, 87, of Russellville, AL passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. Visitation will be Friday, July 14, 2023 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with a service to follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Ellis Floyd will be officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
He was a current city councilman in Littleville. He was a Deacon and founding member of North Highland Baptist Church in Littleville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldredge and Grace Childers; and brother, Roy Gene Childers.
He is survived by his sons, Steve Childers (Lisa), Randy Childers (DaJuana), and Terry Childers (Regina); grandchildren, Courtney Gober (John), Tyler Childers (Erica), Scott McElroy, and Haley Hames; great grandchildren, Emmie Gober and Karsyn Childers; nephew, Gene Childers and niece, Suzanne Ferencak, and special friend, Judy Byrd.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
