Claythel Sue (Garrison) Richardson

Claythel “Sue” Richardson passed from this life to be with her Lord on September 16, 2023. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 1-2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with a service to follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Jeff Abrams will be officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Billy Richardson, daughter Vivian Clark, daughter-in-law Sherry Richardson, grandson Michael Holland, granddaughter Haley Richardson, parents Jody and Adele Garrison, brothers Elvin and Alton Garrison, sister Norma Williams.

Sue is survived by her children, Max Richardson, Renae Holland (Mike), Beverly Peebles (Terry) and Billy Richardson Jr. (Christen); Thirty-Seven Grandchildren and Forty-Eight Great Grandchildren.

Sue was a retired nurse from ECM hospital. She attended church at Annapolis Avenue Church of Christ. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was devoted to her family and serving others throughout her life.

Pallbearers and honorary Pallbearers will be her many grandsons.

Special Thanks to Nancy and Terri at Hospice of North Alabama, and to friends Sherry, Rallie and Danella for the care and companionship given to our mother during this time.
