He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Retha Saylor.

He is survived by his wife, Ginger Wise Saylor of Russellville, AL; son, Matt Saylor of Florence, AL; daughter, Hannah Vickerson (Nick) of Huntsville, AL; brothers, Loyd Saylor, Jr. of Morristown, TN and R.S. Saylor of Staunton, VA; sisters, Alice Faye Delph of Indiana and Betty Stovall of North Carolina; grandchildren, Shep Vickerson and Tripp Vickerson of Huntsville, AL.
