Jim E Sober

Jim Sober, 78, of Decatur, AL passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021. He was a member of First Christian Church Decatur, AL. He was in Daybreak Rotary of Decatur, AL. Jim enjoyed traveling and seeing new places with Jeanne. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Mildred Sober; and first wife, Janet Sober. A memorial service will be at a later date.

He is survived by his wife, Regina “Jeanne” Sober; children, Scott Sober (Sarah), Debbie Sober, and Jim Sober (Julie); stepson, Donnie Crowden (Ladoris); grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, as well as many loving friends.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held at First Christian Church, 1701 Carridale St SW, Decatur, AL 35601. Visitation will be Saturday, February 06, 2021 from 1-2p.m. with the service to follow at 2p.m. Pastor Mickey Johnson will officiate the service.

Special thanks to Demetrius, RN and all other second and third floor staff at Decatur Morgan Hospital for the care given to our loved one. Thanks to all the family, church family, and Rotary family for all the support over the last month.
