Larry Wayne Brackin, 72, of Muscle Shoals passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
He worked 30 plus years for Alabama Reclamation. Larry enjoyed being outdoors, and was also an avid bass fisherman and guide. Owning LBs Lures, many of his lures were used by professional fisherman to win tournaments. He loved archery, golf, and Alabama football. He was a member of Nitrate City Baptist Church. Larry sang in a gospel quartet in the 70s known as the Kings Prophet. They sang in local churches in the area. He was born and raised in Town Creek AL. He graduated from Hazlewood High School.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Richardson and Elreno Brackin; and brother, Gary Brackin.
He is survived by his son, Kevin Brackin of Vina, AL; daughter, Kim Brackin Moore (Ben) of Athens, AL; brother, Arlon Brackin (Betty) of Muscle Shoals, AL; sister, Shirley Brackin Reding of Town Creek, AL; grandchildren, Kaleb Moore, Sawyer Moore, Seth Brackin, Jonah Vallejo, William “Will” Cooper, and Savannah Cooper; and great grandsons, Marlee Moore and Oliver Brackin.
