Margaret Louise (Adams) Peebles

Margaret Louise Peebles, age 91 of Leighton, AL, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023. Her family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 from 11-1 at Colbert Memorial Chapel. The service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1pm with Bro. Stan Pruitt officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

Margaret was a member of Hatton Baptist Church. She loved her family, including her cats, and enjoyed tending her yard and sewing.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James “Shorty” Peebles; son, Derrell Peebles; parents, Joe B. and Olar Adams; and brothers, Troy “Bud” Adams and George Adams.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy DeLony (Butch); son, Danny Peebles; sister, Jossie Sillett; brothers, Wenson “Nig” Adams, Bobby Adams, C.W. Adams, James Adams, and Donald Adams; daughter-in-law, Pam Peebles; grandchildren, Misty, Kevin, Corey, Danielle, Tracy, and Brandon; great grandchildren, Colby Reid, Chloe, Creleigh, Alex, Amelia, Audrey, Montana, Lane, Gemma, Jon Owen, Gavin, Paisley, Ashlyn, Brittan, Maggie, Corey, and Zoey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Kevin DeLony, Corey Peebles, Brandon Peebles, Ricky Austin, Dathan Terry, and Jacob Murray.

We give a very special thanks to Dr. Courtney Bowen, and the staff at Enhabit Hospice, especially her nurses, Laura Lowery, Lisha Murphy for the care given to our loved one.
