Mary Catherine Rau

Mary Catherine Rau, age 79, of Muscle Shoals passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Shady Grove Methodist Church from 11:30am until 1pm. The funeral service will begin at 1pm at the church. Burial will follow in Hatton Cemetery. Pastor Will Vaden and Bro. Mark Mayfield will officiate the service.

Mary Catherine was a native of Ford City. She relocated to Flagstaff, AZ where she raised her two sons. She was a loving and compassionate mother. She worked with the United States Postal Service for 30 years. She was an avid sports fan and cheered for the Alabama Crimson Tide, ROLL TIDE! Mary Catherine moved back to her family farm with her loving husband to enjoy retirement.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, Crusoe and Fannie Minor; son, Steven Robeson; brothers, Leonard, Brooks, R.C., Charles G., and Marvin Minor.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald “Skip” Rau; son, Charlie Daniels (Cathy); step-son, Brian Rau; step-daughter, Robin Nosgovitz (Dave); and grandchildren, Peyton Daniels and Jack Rau.

Pallbearers will be Jackie Gargis, Wayne Evans, Mark Reeps, Daniel Minor, Brent Minor, and Barry Minor.
