Penny Sue (Melton) Jeffreys

Penny Melton Jeffreys, 56, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Visitation will be Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 10-11 a.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with a service to follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. Rev. Gregory Daniel will be officiating. Penny was a member of the Pentecostals of Florence church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buford Sr. and Annabell Melton.

She is survived by her husband of 11 years, David Jeffreys; children, Kyle Lovelace (Amy), Ericka Lovelace (Brandon Cox), Torey Ray Jeffreys (Jessica), and Jamie Todd Jeffreys (Bridget); sisters, Judy Shires, Dinah VanDielen, Callie Pitts (Joe), Nancy Wood (Johnny), Linda Lack (Jeff), and Jeanette Smith (Cam); brother, Buford Melton, Jr. (Linda); nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Torey Ray Jeffreys, Jamie Todd Jeffreys, Jeff Lack, Johnny Wood, Joe Pitts, and Tyler Jeffreys.

Special thanks to the nurses of the critical care unit of North Alabama Medical Center for their loving care and support not only for Penny, but also to all of her family.
