Reeder Lee Risner

Reeder Lee Risner, Jr., 80, of Muscle Shoals, AL went to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 16, 2023. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Michael South will be officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

He retired from Ford Motor Company and General Motors. He was a member of Highland Park Church of Christ. He loved being with people and enjoyed Alabama Football. Competing in car shows and woodworking were some of his favorite pastimes. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Reeder Risner; mother, Geneva Risner; father-in-law, Clark Smithson; mother-in-law, Bessie Smithson Gandy; brother-in-law, Milton Smithson.

He is survived by his wife. Peggy Risner (Smithson) of Muscle Shoals, AL; son, Rodney Risner (Kerrie) of Birmingham, AL; daughter, Selena South (Michael) of Muscle Shoals, AL; brother, Harold Risner of Florence, AL; brother-in-law, Johnny Smithson (Wanda); sister-in-law, Linda Smithson; grandchildren, Logan Risner, Darby Risner, Ben South, and Sam South; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ben South, Sam South, Logan Risner, Darby Risner, Jay Smithson, Clark Smithson, and Barry Smithson. Honorary pallbearers will be C.L. Hubbard, Charles Gargis, and Danny Gatlin.
