Thelma Atkins Obituary

Thelma Atkins, 94, formerly of Sheffield, AL passed away September 16, 2018. Visitation will be Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 10-11 a.m.at Colbert Memorial Chapel with the service to follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Brother Andy Hadley of Cropwell Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will be in Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery. She was a member of First Baptist Sheffield and Cropwell Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Minnie Counce; husband, Paul Hudson Atkins, and sister, Rubye Waldrop.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula Jowers (Leonard) of Cropwell, AL and Kaye Myhan (Don) of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Jason Jowers (Mandi), Jeremy Jowers (Amy), Julianne Julian (Karl), Tyler Myhan (Katie), and Jenna Stuebs (Kyle); great grandchildren, Lillian Jowers, Jacob Jowers, Kaleb Jowers, Eliza Julian, David Julian, James Julian, Parker Stuebs, and Darby Stuebs.

Pallbearers will be Jason Jowers, Jeremy Jowers, Karl Julian, and Tyler Myhan.
