Stanley Lee Choat, age 61, of Tuscumbia, Al., passed away Friday, July 3, 2015.Visitation will be Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Colbert Memorial Chapel with the service to follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Shoals Memorial Gardens. Brother Bill Newman is officiating. Colbert Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earnest Layton Choat and Alice Lorene Oliver Choat.
Survivors are his wife JoAnn Smith Choat, sons; Stanley Lee Choat,II (Julie); Steven J. Choat , Michael C. Choat ( Jessica), Daughter; Regina Ann Choat (Richard), brother; Ricky Dale Choat (Kendra ), ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers are Amos Clayton Bolton, Richard Alan Smith Jr., Stanley Lee Choat,II, Steven Jeremy Choat and Michael Christopher Choat.
Mr. Choat was a member of Grace Life Church of Muscle Shoals; TVA Fraternal Order Of Police, a Disabled Veteran of the Vietnam War, he was also on the Dean’s List at North West Shoals Community College with a BA in Criminal Justice and a BA in Business. He loved Alabama and Deshler Football and Elvis Presley.
