Thomas David Hale, 56, of Sheffield Alabama passed away June 22, 2016. He was born June 21, 1960 in Florence Alabama. He was a graduate of Coffee High School where he played football. Later he attended and played football at the University of Alabama. He remained an avid Crimson Tide fan. Following college he began working for the family business, Hale Electric. He was active member of the Florence and Alabama Jaycees. He served many positions within this organization. This is where he met his wife, Pam, of 26 years.
Tommy was an active member of Highland Baptist Church Broadway Campus. His life was a true testament of his faith and love for Christ.
He was best known as “Papa Tom” to his children and grandchildren. His love for his family was obvious in so many ways. He always made time to attend practices, ballgames, school events and fishing trips. He was always inspiring and encouraging with his positive words and kindness.
Visitation will be Friday June 24, 2016 from 11am-1pm at Highland Baptist Church (Main Campus), Florence Alabama. Funeral service will begin at 1pm. Burial services will be held at Colbert Memorial in Tuscumbia Alabama. Officiating will be Dr. John Brock.
Mr. Hale was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette “Rube” Hale. He is survived by his wife Pamala Hale; children, Russ McBride (Daneen), Joey McBride (Amy); father, Billy Hale; brothers, John Hale (Stephanie) and Sammy Hale (Rose); grandchildren, Chelsie, Bronson, Makenzie, Jakob, Mason, and Brady McBride; nieces and nephews, Paige Atwell, Will, Ben and Cara Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Griffin, Don Smith, Craig Keller, Greg Long, John Randolph and Todd Scott.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to DaVita and Shoals Kidney and Hypertension Center.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The National Kidney Foundation or Highland Baptist Church in memory of Tommy Hale.
