Missing you, daddy! As bad as I wish you were here, I would not ask you to come back. With everything that is going on in this world, it would give you a heart attack! I picture you in heaven, exploring, hiking mountains without pain, diving without gear or having to keep up with the depth and time down under. I’m sure Mamaw is in charge of at least a portion of Gods flowers and you help her.
I can’t wait to be there with y’all!! The things you taught me and probably didn’t think I was listening…I was! Every time I’m doing something, I think, “How would daddy do this?” You taught me not to be afraid to try something new and how to be dependent. I just didn’t know how bad I would need those lessons now!! Thank you, daddy, for everything!!

It’s been almost three years. It seems like yesterday. I still pick up the phone to call you to ask my “daddy questions“. You were so smart! You always knew what to tell me to do. I miss you with every breath I take and with every beat of my heart! I wish you were here so bad, but I would never ask you to come back to the world we’ve got today! I know you’re at peace and happy now. You are no longer in pain. That gives me peace. I love you daddy!!

Mary Rose, Hugh and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of your brother. It is never easy to lose a loved one but you know where he is and that you will see him again one day. Remember and talk about the good times and the fun you had growing up. It will help. Please know that we will both keep you and Johnny and the rest of your family in our thoughts and prayers.
