Malcom Ray Briley went to be with the Lord October 8, 2014. He was 86. He was a member of Center Star Baptist Church. He worked at Reynolds Metals, retired in 1990. He was a wonderful husband, father, and provider for his family and remained strong in his faith until the Lord called him home to be with Him. Visitation will be Friday October 10, 2014 beginning at 2:00 pm at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service following at 3:00pm. Burial will be at Colbert Memorial Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Father: Lonnie G. Briley, Mother: Vergie Grissom Briley

Sister: Mildred Berryman Son: Danny Ray Briley.

He was survived by his wife of 65 years Arneda Daily Briley, as of October 1, 2014.

He has 3 daughters: Bonnita Briley Fox (Don) Bobbie Briley Keeler (Danny) and Darnell Briley Dellinger (Eric)

2 Sons: Ben W. Briley and  Dennis A Briley

He had 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Pall Bearers: Tyler Briley, Devin Briley, Houston Briley, Jason Briley, Michael Keeler and Jeremy Briley

Honorary Pall Bearers: Don Richardson, Trent, Eric, and Ethan Dellinger

Malcom enjoyed restoring tractors; He once owned a 2 seater tractor. He would ride the grandkids around on it. Then he bought a bull dozer and built a road on the property he bought to build a house. He sold dirt, we called him 'the dirt man', sold gravel and timber and built the house he left Mom. He loved sitting on his porch and enjoying the outdoors.

The service will be officiated by: Bro. Ronny Jones, Center Star Baptist Church, and Don Fox, son-in law. Brandon Briley, grandson, will officiate the committal service.

We want to thank our many friends, family, and church family that supported his wife and children during his illness. We would like to thank Hospice of North Alabama, Melinda, Coco and Sandra.

Dad will be greatly missed, he was the rock of our family, and we depended on him greatly. Please pray for us during this difficult time of transition, to live without him.
