Roy “Juno” Smith, 93, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016. Visitation will be Monday, October 24, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in chapel. Burial will be at Shaw cemetery. Brother Corey Cochran will be officiating
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife Bertha B. Smith, 3 brothers: David, Bruce, and Leslie, parents Roy and Ona Smith.
Mr. Smith is survived by his son: Ronald G. Smith (Cheryl), daughter: Laura Howard, sister: Almarie Holder and special friend Nettie Joiner. Grandchildren Jamie DeFoor (Jason), Tracie Mooring (Waytt) III, Korbyn Howard, Kendyn Howard, Kristyn Howard and Katelyn Howard, great grandchildren Jackson DeFoor, Lincoln DeFoor, Lillian DeFoor, Wyatt Morring IV and Allie Gray Mooring.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Underwood, Bryan Grissom, Jarred Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Rick Lansdell and Wyatt Mooring III.
Honorary pallbearers are Jackson DeFoor, Lincoln DeFoor and Wyatt Mooring IV
He was a member of Hatton Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He retired from Union Carbide after 33 years of loyal service.
