I am so sorry to hear of Ron's passing. I served with Ron in the Alabama National Guard for many years. He was my commanding officer while I was in the Sheffield Unit. He was an outstanding officer and an even better person. i will miss him. RIP Ron.

We offer our condolences to the family. Aron made a great contribution to the Alabama Military Academy as a young man, serving as a tactical officer, working with cadets who were just entering the program. He also cut the first tape of the poem, "I AM THE GUARD" that we used in our graduating exercises. His tape was instrumental in developing such a program for the Guard nationwide. Mrs. Newborn, God bless you and your family. I know you are already suffering the loss of this loved one. Col Alton R. Barnes.
