Birdie Lee Cullum

Birdie Lee Cullum, age 85, of Leighton, AL passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015. Visitation will be Monday, April 13, 2015 from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Service will be Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel, burial to follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Brother Ted Vafeas and Charlie James. She was a lifetime member of Hatton Baptist.

She was preceded in death by parents, Jim and Lela Nichols; husband, Luther Nichols; daughter, Phyllis Nichols.

Survivors are husband, Leon Cullum; sons, Roger Nichols (Mary), Lawrence Nichols (Marylin); daughters, Linda Roberson (Ed), JoAnn Stokes (Jim) and Lydia Brumley (Tommy Kirby); brothers, James Nichols, Tom Nichols (Betty), and Don Nichols (Elouise); sisters, Methel Shobe (Calvin), Margie Pittman (Johnny),; grandchildren, Lera Buttrum (Kenneth), Melissa Holder (Toby), Farrell Craig (Sandy), Shelley Mahaffey (Jason), Bradley Adams (Cynthia), Katie Alexander, Steven Nichols, Chad Nichols (Shandi), Luke Nichols (Cayla),19 great grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Scott, Wayne Peebles, Mitch Michaels, Brian Alexander, Doug Pittman, and Larry Pullen.

A special thanks to Aunt Margie Pittman and to full 2nd floor ICU unit staff of Shoals Hospital for all the love and care given to our dear mother.
