Brenda Odessa (Borden) Dawson

Brenda Odessa Dawson age 69, of Tuscumbia, Al. passed away Sunday October 12, 2014. Visitation will be Tuesday October 14, 2014 from 5pm- 8 pm at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Funeral services to begin at 11:00 AM, Wednesday in the chapel with entombment to follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Officiating is Brother Steve McAlister.

She was preceded in death by fathers, Eugene Dement Borden and Eugene  Myers and mother Kate Meyers, husband, Howard Dawson, Sister, Patricia Kennington

Survivors are daughters Tina Tomsik ( David), Sheree Miller (Tom)

Father of children: Richard Smallwood

Grand Children: Andrew Hargett (Whitney), Alyssa Hargett, Alexandra Tomsik

Great Granddaughter: Leah Hargett

Sisters: Gracie Adock, Lenita Ford.

Nieces and Nephews: Sharmon Grigsby, Debbie Faulkner, Tracye Davis, Stephanie Johnson, Rita Sharpton,  Tony Jefferys, Stephen Crowden

Pallbearers: Tim Grigsby, Tom Miller, David Tomsik, Tyler Grigsby, Todd Alexander and Dustin Hubbard

She was an active member at Grace Life of the Shoals Church. Brenda had a great love for all the little children in the preschool class.
