To the Carruth family,
I've been saving Charles' obituary that was in the paper until I could properly express my sincere condolences. He will definitely not be forgotten. My father was Paul Donaldson and my sister was Shelaine Donaldson Johnston, both of whom worked with Charles many years ago at Seagoing Boats, Inc., and both of whom have already passed on as well. My mother, Katie Coker was still married to my father at the time they all worked together and remembers him, although she is in failing health.
I just couldn't let the passing of such a sweet man go by without telling you how very sorry I am for your loss. He put up with my shenanigans at the plant many times when I was a little girl...always very patient and kind, and lots of fun, as well!
I bet they're all up there having a long overdue visit.
Sincerely,
Karen Donaldson Gruber

I was so sorry to hear about Charles. He and Betty and my Mom and Dad (Opal and Edward Seal) were very good friends and stay a long time at Morningside Assisted Living at the same time. I know all four of them are having a good time in Heaven together right now.

Dear Allison,

Please know that I was saddened about the death of your father. I felt like I got to know him at Glenwood several years ago. He was a gentleman and very friendly. After you came in to see me and told me he was there, I recognized him in therapy sessions. We always found something to talk about. You and your lovely family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
