Hilburn was a cousin of mine. His mother (Aunt Mozell) was a sister to my Grandmother(Evelyn). I didn't know when he passed, as it seems that since all the Vandiver children have passed, we hardly stay in touch like we did while they were with us. Had I known, I would have said/done/sent something.
I can still hear his voice from somewhere in the early 1980's on the front porch of Grandma's house...talking to Uncle Babe, Uncle Joyce, Uncle John Jr., and Hubert.
