Though I never met Jimmy in person, we connected on Facebook, and I learned much from him about courage, tenacity, and ministry in Jesus' name to the "least of these..." You ran a good race, Jimmy! See you soon!

Jimmy was my friend and he once called me his faith mother. His mother was in my Sunday school class at York Terrace Bap Church. She was always in church and Sunday school and brought Jimmy when he was growing up. Jimmy over came so much in his life. He loved the Lord and wanted everyone else to love him too. He was determined to live his life to the fullest, studying to get his degree and going on to work on learning everything he could. I loved and respected him very much.

To the many friends and family....Jimmy will be greatly missed! Jimmy and I chatted almost daily. He was such an in couragement (and a thorn in my side). Jimmy helped Phillip and me on many ocassions....cutting firewood...ripping up subfloor when our home flooded.. he was my friend...if any of y'all get there before me, tell him my $35.00 check is in the mail..love you, Jimmy! Wish I had done more...

It was our blessing to know Jimmy and be uplifted by his commitment and ambition. We loved him and are blessed to call him our brother. The memorial is very well stated and we are grateful for the reading. A couple of days before Jimmy passed, he and Jim were laughing about one day playing football in heaven, and even if Jim won't say it, Cheryl will -- War Eagle!
